When a Great God knocks on the door of your heart you can't ignore it! Christ has gripped my heart for missions. As a young child the world of missions was fascinating to me. God used this to begin moving me toward long term service overseas when I was in jr. high and high school.
It wasn't until I was in college that my interest in missions was driven to a passion for it. As I struggled with what the Lord wanted to do with my life my prayer became, "Lord, how can I best serve you now?" The answer came as a surprise when He said, "Go back to school." Soon after it became obvious this was part of a greater plan. "Feed my sheep" He said, shortly after a vision questioning where my heart would best rejoice, on the mission field or in the corporate world. The answer was clear, and as the Lord unfolded His plan I could only pursue.
God brought me to a point of action when He called me to Toccoa Falls College, in NE Georgia, to receive a degree in Cross-cultural Studies in preparation for overseas ministry. This time of preparation was met with rapid growth and challenges the Lord brought to my faith in Him. My passion for missions was cultivated with deep roots pressing me onward every moment of this time of preparation.
Shortly after receiving my degree the Lord called me to join GEM. I found that the Lord was bringing me to a group of like minded people to accomplish His will for Europe and Italy! I arrived in Italy in January 2008. In these first two years God has stretched me in so many ways and has blessed me by allowing me to see the fruit being produced as I labor with the Italians to spread the Good News of Jesus!
